This is not their first album, but in fact their 5th (not counting the EP). Without SNFU, NOFX would not sound like they do today, as the influence is quite obvious. SNFU had broken up prior to this album, and this was their first release of new mat...erial since their regrouping. SGALTWC was their first of three releases on Epitaph. This album was a departure from their previous work. The sound is much larger, and the music has a lighter sound to it that's not quite as aggressive as their other works (earlier and later). Chi's singing is also less angry, and many of the songs deal with his personal struggles, while not excluding the relevancy of the listener. This has some of their absolute best work "The Painful Reminder," "Watering Hole," "Joni Mitchell Tapes," and some of their worst, "Tin Fish," "Costume Trunk." This is the best of their Epitaph releases, as each subsequent release regresses to boring hardcore. Highly recommended for those more attuned to the 90's punk/pop punk. If you enjoy this album, go earlier, not later for better work. Read more Less
