this cd is really cool. great job reba!!!!
This is one of Reba's best and most up-beat albums. She has done it again!
This woman pours it from her soul, its magical. not many people can sing so wonderfully that gives you chills. she puts you there, feeling what she is singing.Vanessa P.
The song "What Do You Say" says it all really! When you think about it what would you do if you were in that moment? We don't really know what we would say, but Reba sure did know how to sum it up for all of us! I loved it, and I hope to see more great songs.
There are certain aspects of every Reba album
that can be taken for granted; flawless musicianship
and production being top of the list.
So, when the
lady is warbling at her best, the product stands or
falls largely on the quality of the material.
This,
then, is only an average offering, with the songs, in
the main, being much of a muchness.
Starting with
the positive points, three cracking ballads receive
the full McEntire treatment.
"She Wasn't Good
Enough For Him", by Dean Dillon and Leslie Winn Satcher,
is the best of them; the story of a women devoted to
her man until she overhears how little he values
her.
"'Til I Said It To You" is a song based around the
simple premise of saying 'I Love You' without any real
meaning, whereas the Diane Warren number "I'll Be" deals
with much more than those three little words, offering
a shoulder to cry on, someone to hold on to and
more besides.
The downsides to this album are the
repetitive "Where You End And I Begin", which begins and
ends but does little in between, and "Nobody Dies From
A Broken Heart", which rambles on for four minutes
without really saying anything.
Sadly, the album
closes with a real 'turkey'. Rita Coolidge will cringe
if she listens to the cover of "We're All Alone",
although I'm sure that Boz Scaggs will be happy to take
the royalties...
I've loved Reba ever since I started listening. It seems like forever ago. She is so inspirational and heartfelt. She is a wonderful lady with a truly Southern Passion.
I love this new album of Reba's because its got the best song in the world on it and that is WHAT DO YOU SAY. the video is very good also hope to see her write more songs like that one.
Reba is the bomb, she is too good to country music so that is why i am buying her new album.
