    Reese Roper Strikes Again

    I bought this cd the day after it came out, knowing I'd love it simply because of the guys behind it--Five Iron Frenzy. But when I sat down to listen to it, I was blown away by just how awesome the band really was! So Far From Home is a tremendousl...y awesome album that tackles issues such as heartbreak, death, and depression. The album hits a darker note than Five Iron Frenzy's upbeat style and keeps from being yet another sound-alike side project. Although Reese's vocals clash at times with the darker sound of songs like "Two-Twenty-Nine", overall the album is fantastic. "Resistor" is a gorgeous song, as are "Gloria", "Under Bridges", and "Space Robot Five". Most notable is the common thread that despite all feelings of hopelessness, there is a hope in Jesus Christ that is far greater than the darkness around us. Read more Less

    Although it is slower then typical five iron adn such the slowler calmer and somewhat more serious side of Resse and the gang it's a great cd and they play awesome liveI only hope that both five iron and BS2 continue to praise the lord well and reach... a wider audience! Read more Less
