Pro Reviews: So Easy to Remember

  • All Music Guide

Recorded in Boston during his 1992 tour of the U.S., this studio date features the violinist with an all-American supporting cast: guitarists Bucky Pizzarelli and Kenny Burrell, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Grady Tate. There are no surprises among the 11 tracks, all familiar facets within Grappelli's repetoire, but there's never a dull moment, even if the music tends to be a little more low-key than typical for Stephane Grappelli, except for "How High the Moon."
