    Whether as a novelty or a serious collectible for Smurfs fans, The Smurfs Greatest Hits is a brilliant collection of disco/dance/pop songs that will brighten up even the lamest get together. It will get children dancing with all seriousness and adults laughing in complete ecstasy, which is a rare feat. A good children's album meets the needs of two worlds: children and their parents. Here is a great one because it meets those needs and appeals to adolescents and single grown-ups. It is comprised of the best tracks from all of the '90s-edition British Smurf releases and includes two new ones: "Smurfy Girl" and "Papa Smurfs Party." The Greatest Hits is exceptionally produced and belongs in every child's music collection. As the '90s came to a close, Greatest Hits provided a look back at how the Smurfs had once again conquered Europe with their music.
