This movie was a testament to J.Depp and his acting magic.
Plus when I first got this movie on VHS it still made me jump a bit.

I watched this movie in my 8th grade English class. It was much more complex than Washington Irving's version, and in my opinion, much better. This is not the easiest movie to understand, and you really need to read between the lines to get most of it. I think it was a great movie, and would recommend it for anyone who is in for a thrill!

Excellent film! Depp was his usual sterling self and the characters, cast, direction, sets, art direction, costumes, etc., were all top notch. The best version of the story ever told. A thoroughly entertaining film from beginning to end!

It was rather great but grousome. The graphics were very good. The actors needed to improve a little but other than that if you are in to horror this is a good film.

What's this pumpkin doing on my shoulders. Great classic brought to life on the screen. Great for any DVD collection, has special effects and drama, suspense and Tim Burton's twisted genious. If you like Johnny Depp in this movie, you love him in "From Hell".

I loved this movie. I was so surprised to see Christopher Lee in a cameo appearance and then to also have Miranda Richardson in a pivotal role was great. The mood was perfect. The very feel of the movie is dark and stormy. Tim Burton is wild and weird and aren't we glad that he is. I don't care if there are a lot of dead heads rolling around, it's a movie about a ghost that decapitates people for a living...what else are they going to do play canasta? I highly recommend it. It's not even that bloody for the squeamish at heart. Tkuht

Forst of all the setting is superb, set to outside NYC in 1799. The scenery and environment are absolutely beautiful. Johnny Depp does his most funny character ever,playing a cowardly detective set to solve some brutal murders in the village of Sleepy Hollow. It turns out to be a really creepy ghost story, but also an oldschool crime-solving story, where the viewer can draw his/her own conclusions. Such movies are rare in these days, but Burton has really succeeded in this. The camerawork is amazing, and the script is brilliant. It´s very dark and stylistic in the same mood as the first Batman-movie. This movie should be seen in theatres though.

This movie was so beautiful. The scenery was just so incredibly beautiful. This...of course...just added to how AWESOME the movie was along with the amazing special effects. Buy it on DVD.

This movie was very cool!! It starts out kinda slow, but it gets much better with time. I loved th e ending!!! It's not to scary, but it has an awesome story, and good actors.

This film has superb visual effects. Tim Burton has outdone himself. But the characters and way the story is told, leave something to be desired.
Christopher Walken's evil factor is at an 8. Not bad considering he doesn't say a word.

It's been a while since I saw a horror film that scared and entertained me. Truthfully, this movie is not so much scary as it is just damn entertaining. Johnny Depp(working with Tim Burton for the third time)gives an unforgettable performance as Ichabad Craine and Christina Ricci is at her sexy best. WARNING: This movie is not for the squeamish. There's enough blood and guts to last you for two movies.

Once again Tim Burton had out done himself. This film is nothing short of excellent. Gripping all the way through and packed full of gore and horror that will keep the audiance wondering who's going to be decapitated next. Not for the faint of heart, truely a Tim Burton master piece. A must see film by any accounts.
