Brazilian Latin rock foursome Skank was formed by ex-Pouso Alto Samuel Rosa and Henrique Portugal in 1991. The group independently released a self-titled album soon after. Mostly known as a reggae and Latin ska band, Skank signed up to Sony Music, recording Calango in 1994 and successfully performing at Hollywood Rock that same year.
