Sizzla
One of the leaders in the mid-'90s resurgence of roots-reggae as an inspiration for the aggressive dancehall sound, Sizzla and his producer Phillip "Fatis" Burrell debuted with 1995's Burning Up, released on RAS Records. He's also recorded for VP and Exterminator, releasing Good Ways in 1998. Be I Strong followed a year later, and in early 2000 Sizzla returned with Liberate Yourself. Black History appeared in summer 2001.
