I won't lie - I never listened to AFI before this album came out. I'm not an "old-school" or "hardcore" AFI fan. But this album is full of good songs. It sounds good. My opinion of music has always been to be supportive of bands when new people like ...their stuff - what's to say that Sing The Sorrow won't get another 100 people to buy Black Sails and love it? Pros: Davey Havok's voice and Jade Puget's lyrics

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

This is by far the best purchase I have ever made. I got it on mother's day last summer and have been playing it ever since. This CD is the epitome of Afi's revolution since Jade Puget joined the band in the late '90s. The songs are somet...imes slow and heart-wrenching, at other times more towards the fast-beat, blood-pumping punk rock that Afi started with. Jade's lyrics sung by Davey's one-of-a-kind voice are worth listening to time and time again with the guitars and drum backing everything up beautifully and making each song a million times more interesting. Afi is now, as it always has been, the culmination of all good rock of the time. This is MUST HAVE. Read more Less

A Fire Inside has come along way, but this is their greatest achievement thus far. Sing the Sorrow is a poet's paradise with beautiful flowing lyrics and magnificantly mastered instrument work. well, for starters, this cd kicks ass. so ya, i like it. but for those of u who liek afi but havent heard this cd yet, beware. its almost nothing like their older stuff. i dont think i would even classify it as punk. its definately slower than all th...ere other cds. i guess i could compare most of the songs to either morning star or god called in sick today and then theres sum stuff a little faster maybe like days of the phoenix. ya that song compares to this cd pretty good. anyways, id still buy the cd, i think it rox but it IS different from their past music. hope i was of some help, farewell fellow afi fans Read more Less

I was so scared to listen to this cd after hearing what some of my other friends had said about it, but after listening to it back to back to back i now know that they are completely wrong, this cd just cements the fact they are one of the greatest b...ands at changing face and keeping it real. Sing the Sorrow is by far the best AFI album. It has something for everyone, old and new. The lyrics are incredibly deep and heart wrenching, as well as the music behind them. I bought this cd because my friend said it was good. knowing his taste in music was just like mine. I saw the video for Girls not Grey and I thought hey there pretty good. I tested out the cd and it became my favorite. Davey is a great singer and the...re are good backing vocals. my advice to the reader get sing the sorrow then the art of drowing then Answer that and stay fashionable. Read more Less

this album was i think the best that afi has! the songs are great. if you heard girls not grey and leaving song 2 and you liked them, you'll like the rest of the tracks!
