Synopsis: Sin: The Movie (1999)

Synopis: Enter the world of SIN. In the 21st century, the city of Freeport teeters on the verge of collapse. The twin tides of rampant crime and ruinous graft, face but a single barrier, an elite strike force labeled HARDCORPS.    We can't blame ADV for trying something different. But they could've at least tried harder.
   
   SIN was a great PC game. The anime, however, fell short of expectations. Phoenix Animation (Ninja Resurrection) used a lot of 2D/3D mix, but a whole bunch of it looked flat. The musical score by Masamichi Amano with the Poland Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra is very good.
   
   The voice acting is a big judgment call. Both English and Japanese dialogues have very different scripts, so it's hard to determine which one is the original (since this is mostly a US project).
   
   Rent SIN first before deciding to add it to your anime collection. ...
