Director Robert Rodriguez gives us a fascinating look at the Frank Miller's Sin City, a dark and dangerous place in wich we follow multiple characters and their stories. This movie was a instant classic and definitly a must-see.

In order to appreciate the full impact of this movie you would have to allow yourself to enter a world of imagination.
This is actually a "comic book-made-movie" story, but using a storyline more underground than its more popular counterparts such as Spiderman, X-Men, Batman, Superman, or Hulk.
This is actually a very good movie and the use of black and white to express an Alfred Hitchcock-ess feel is absolutely smart.
"Sin City" is a dark place, much like Gotham City of the Batman series. But Sin expresses something more dark and unnatural and the movie displays these aspects with no problem.
The scenes give you a feeling of what could be in the future. It is not a pleasant sight.
Of course, Bruce Willis plays an excellent role as a beat down cop, which is his staple as an action hero.
I am biased to the movies taken from the comic books, but if you sit back and watch this movie, I am sure you will be entertained.

Sin City is one of my top ten action movies. I'm an action/adventure buff and this movie surely fits the bill. It has a triple threat with 3 story lines that all fit together. And with the black and white sences it adds a dramaic effect that is not seen in movies today. Can't say everyone would like this movie with its ultra violent nature in a macho universe. But its violent nature is one of the appealing points of the movie. Otherwise it would be another Dick Tracy flick. I never read a Sin City comic but after seeing this I had to start reading them to see where the idea for this movie came from. Truely a must see!

I'm not exactly a collector of the mini series (the one in comic books).
This movie is just fantastic. It's gritty, dark mood doesn't fail to take you in the stories that it tells.
The movie itself pays homage to its comic book roots and a lot of the scenes seem like they're taken directly out of the comic book panels, right down to how it is inked on the paper version of it.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoSin City

Tuy là film làm từ năm 05 nhưng mỗi lần cài lại Windows me vẫn down về máy để mỗi lần muốn xem để có cái mà xem...Bộ phim chỉ có 4 màu chỉ đạo là đen,trắng vàng và đỏ .Phim mang tính bạo lực và đầy cảnh máu me nên chỉ thích hợp cho mấy U thích bạo lực (:D) Định share nội dung của film nhưng nhưng thể loại này thì để chính các bạn cảm nhận thì mới thấy hết nội dung...hiện me vẫn còn link down bản English nhưng lại ko biết để đâu !Nhưng trong máy thì vẫn có bản down rồi...ai chưa đc thưởng thức bảo với me,me share cho nha

I loved the dark overtones of the film, I also admire the fact it was not dumbed down, for the viewing public.If you are a fan of comic books, graphic novels or of pop culture, this one's for you.

I think because of all the hype around this movie people expected a lot. My person insight = failure to impress. Apart from the famous cast and unique way of expressing emphasis on the movie, it failed to deliver. I'm sure if you're a comic book fan you'll agree with me that the movie did not quite hit the nail on the head. Unfortunate, I would have loved for it to keep me on my toes.......Sorry guys, better luck next time

Sin City có sự tham gia của Jessica Alba , phim được quảng cáo trên MTV Screen . Xem quảng cáo thì thấy có vẻ hay ,đọc 1 số báo thì thấy phim có rất nhiều cảng khà "HoT" và 1 số cảnh bạo lực ,vì thế tất nhiên là dù phim đánh giá là hay ở nước ngoài nhưng chắc chắn ở Việt Nam mà muốn xem thì chỉ có nước đi mua đĩa lậu về xem .
Hiện giờ thì cũng chưa xem nên chả biết nội dung như thế nào nên mới viết review như thế kia thoai , kakakakakakakaka :D =))Was this review helpful? Yes - NoSin City
