Pros: excellent voice

Cons: it is VERY hard to find an album that we like ALL the songs!!

I like Kelly Rowland, i am surprised that almost every review has her "in competition" with Beyonce. Beyonce is a star in her own right, with great talent, beauty and a voice to match. even better for her is she has connections to help her in this cold hard world of music. Kelly is a star in her own right, she has her own beauty, her own talent and is also very beautiful. I think they are both SENSATIONAL. And since SHE ain't worried about Beyonce, WHY IS EVERYONE ELSE TRIPPIN'???? she still gonna make millions of dollars and live a beautiful life, of which most of us can only dream of. Go Kelly with your bad self! and Go Beyonce with your bad self! both of you make us other sisters PROUD, cause you had the guts to go after your dreams. Peace.

Mizz Kelly's debut "Simply Deep" is a well rounded album. It took you some very interesting changes. One minute, she is doing rock, the next alternative, hip hop then r&b. But bottom line is that it works for her. Her best attribute is the song called "Obsession" which was written by Solange Knowles. Obsession takes yoiu through the changes and it's good. The lyrics and the melody matched the sexy altoese. Her rich alto never overpowers the meaning of a song. Mizz Knowles needs to take a few lessons from her. Overall, a very good first impression.

I love Kelly Rowland and I think that she is the best one in Destiny Child. The sad thing is that Kelly never get recognize for anything. Like "Freddy vs Jason" they didn't make a big deal -- but when Beyonce came out with the "FIghting Temptation" the whole world had to know. If I was Kelly I will be SO Gone and join up with the original 2 members of Destiny's Child and form a group. As for Kelly Rowland's album it was good and majority of the songs I love but she should have more time to do her album (like it originally supposed to be). Kelly need to realize that she is in the shadow of Beyonce.

im gonna give her props cause the gurl CAN sing........but some of the songs do not compliment her voice. This album is not the best honestly she can do much MUCH better but........ there is a couple of good songs especially CAN'T NOBODY (great song luv the beats!!) but in total this album was probably a 5.5 out of 10.

This cd is my new favorite. She has a beautiful voice and the songs are great. They do not sound all the same and that is a good thing. I brought this cd after Beyonce's, and I have to say I like Kelly's cd better than Beyonce's. She has a good balance of slow and fast songs. Great cd, I love it!!

kelly has always been the voice that everybody wnted to hear and with simply deep she granted our wishes.the thing that most people dont like is the fact that beyonce and her voices are similar .But yes this is a great CD overall and if you dont have it by now i would suggest that you stop sleeping on her and go check my girl out.and whyh you out check out Michelle gospel album it praises god and it tight.

I love this cd!! Kelly has a beautiful voice, and i feel that she is capable of being up there with singers like whitney houston if she really wanted to.. She has always been my favorite out of the whole group destiny's child. I give this cd 5 stars so lets support this sista cause she can sang!!!!

Let me say I didn't know what to expect when I surveying the album Simply Deep. With the singles Dilemna and Stole being so different, I was shocked to see the direction that the album took. I am so glad that Kelly chose to work with up and coming producers/writers instead of mainstream to make MIllions! That's where you'll find your real artists, the ones that rely on talent and not just gimmick. She's got real talent and the album dips and dabs into several music areas. Simply Deep with Solange is out of this world. Obsession is off the meter. Those two (Kelly and Solange) have great working chemistry. Stole is a great track sometimes I find myself getting real emotional on that song because of how powerful Kelly sings it. The album is different from what anyone would expect from the Destiny's Child member but still a good listen. Rowland is another one not afraid to try something different and it worked. Congrats. Cop the album, it's Simply Deep.

I think the CD is really good. Kelly has a wonderful voice and I am glad that it is finally being showcased by herself, and she does her own background vocals with a little help from others. I think this CD is very good, especially the slower songs, which showcase Kelly's marvelous rance and articulation. Just listen to "Haven't Told You" and "Simply Deep" and you will see what I mean. Even "Stole" is a wonderful example of her voice. This is a very good CD.
