Silver Sunshine are a four piece band from San Diego, California. They draw their inspiration form the classic sounds of the postBritish Invasion freakbeat and psychedelic bands like the Move, the Kinks, the Pink Floyd and a host of other lesserknown bands you might find on the Rubbles Box Set. Richard Vaughn (Vocals, Guitar), Conor Riley (vocals, guitar), Stuart Sclater (bass, vocals) and Ian Sclater formed the group in December of 2001. After couple years of refining their sound, the group recorded a demo tape which led to them being signed by Wishing Tree Records Group and their new offshoot label Empyrean Records. The band holed up in San Diego's Earthling studio and began work on their debut album with producer Mike Kamoo. The selftitled fulllength record was released in late 2004.
