The First and Best of Wilder and Pryor

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 29, 2001

Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor were so successful as a team in "Silver Streak" that they went on to make three more movies. Their second film, "Stir Crazy" was a hit, but I still liked "Silver Streak" more. And I wasn't too impressed with "See No Ev...il, Hear No Evil" or "Another You." Anyway, enjoy "Silver Streak." There's comedy, mystery, intrigue, and a romance between Wilder and Jill Clayburgh, who plays the secretary of the man on the train who gets murdered by thugs. Best scene: Innocent Wilder, wanted by the cops, gets a little help from conman Pryor, who puts shoepolish on his face, and walks and dances around like a jive-talking black man to get back on the train. SILVER STREAK

"Hello Chicago, hello, gotto drink to that, yah," said Scatman Crothers at the end of the movie. That was the best quote in the movie! Pryor and Wilder made a great team for the first time. I miss you Scatman!
