Belfast's Silent Running, originally composed of vocalist Peter Gamble, guitarist Tony Scott, bassist Richard Collett, drummer Ian Gault, and keyboardist Alex White, released three albums of U2-influenced dance-rock during the 1980s. Their 1984 debut was issued in America as Emotional Warfare and as Shades of Liberty overseas. White left the band before 1987's more commercial Walk on Fire, and Gault left afterwards, leaving Silent Running to depend even more heavily on studio help on 1989's...
