Si Quiero (1967)

Featuring a cast with some of the biggest Mexican stars of the 1960s, SI QUIERO is a romantic comedy about a pair of newlyweds dealing with familial meddling. Rodolfo De Anda and multi-talented Julissa (who has also found success as a singer and television producer) are still on their honeymoon when a series of troubles begin. His jealous old girlfriend and her overprotective and scheming parents all seem to be conspiring against the couple's happiness from day one, and complications ensue with the discovery that a baby is on the way. SI QUIERO also stars Fanny Cano, and was written and directed by Raul De Anda, the father of the leading man and a major figure in Mexican film in his own right.
