GARBAGE!!!
Pros: NOTHING!!!
Cons: EVERYTHING!!!
One of the worst movies ever made, it belongs in the garbage along with films like Fight Club! If you spend money on this...or even watch it for that matter...you deserve the worst. WASTE OF TIME, WASTE OF MONEY! If you want adult entertainment, go get porno or go to an adult site like planetmpg!

I am a 27 y/o str8 male from Kansas that loves and personally owns this movie!! The second to last scene with Berkley and Gershon in the hospital is the best.....(Woohoo :) !!! Yes, I love bi-sexual women, especially if they are as attractive as Gershon or Berkley!! I also own Gershon's "Bound" with Jennifer Tilly, which is another great movie!!

I love this movie! And i'm gay so i don't think this movie is good because of it's nudity because i'm not attracted to girls and i love the storie line and the way they can see through the eyes of struggling dancers and friendship! and i think it is such a wonderful movie and i stick with 5 Stars!

What a pathetic film. It is nothing more than naked women TRYING (way too hard) to pretend they're in an actual film. I will give it credit for making me laugh (in addition to the cringing) but I just couldn't take Elizabeth Berkley seriously. I kept waiting for Mr. Belding to show up.

OK...so "Showgirls" features a cliched plot, terrible acting from it's star, Elizabeth Berkley, and several lapses in good taste.
What it also has is glossy cinematography, tightly choreographed dance numbers, hilariously campy writing, and a scorching hot performance from the drop-dead-gorgeous Gina Gershon.
Critics seemed to miss the point when reviewing this film. They all thought that "Showgirls" was presenting itself as some kind of Oscar contender, but it never pretends to be anything other than what it is: a glorious trash-opera.
When watched with an open mind, this film is
good fun, a camp classic along the lines of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Enjoy!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoGreat
I really think that this is a great film but you'd better watch this spectacle alone so that to enjoy it completely

"Showgirls" casts "Saved by the Bell" favorite Elizabeth Berkley in a new light-the light of a strip club. While this movie is not exactly an Oscar worthy film, it is a lot of fun. This is a great movie to bring out for a guys poker night, or a bachelor birthday party. Just don't let your wife/girlfriend/mom catch you with it.
