Synopsis: Shenandoah (1965)

A principled Virginia farmer tries to keep his family safe from the tumult of the Civil War by withdrawing into pacifism and isolation. Though strongly opposed to slavery, his reluctance to fight keeps him from joining forces with Union soldiers. But when his youngest son is kidnapped by the Union soldiers, the landsman is finally pulled into the bloody conflict.

    This movie is the best Jimmy Stewart movie. He, as always, does not seem to be acting. He gives an amazing performance. It is a great movie for the entire family. This movie brings history alive. You won't go wrong with this movie. It was way before... its time. Read more Less
