Great LCD that has satisfied my viewing needs

I purchased this model on black friday 2 years ago for $1299 + tax and that was a discount price back then. 2 years later and I'm still happy with this product. It has not given me any problems and has worked flawlessly. I mainly use it to play my ps3 and the games and blu-ray look excellent. The TV has a multitude of inputs, typical of most TV's nowadays anyhow, but still notable. By today's standards, the refresh rate of 60Hz may seem low, but its not a big deal for me.

Pros: 1st I'm an electronic tech who works on LCD set daily. The aquos line has been fairly reliable as brands go. If you contact aservicer in your city They can usually resolve most issue in atimly manner.Holidays slow down repair time be patient.
Cons: If you have gree nlines or any vertical lines. You may need a panel or have the LVDS cable connection ckd by a servicer. A screen that requires numerous times of turning on and off is an inverter board or LCD panel problem.Audio on all LCDs regardless of brand is usually lacking. Get a reciever.
In my experience Sharp has always been willing to take care of issues.Your set came with a warranty contact your nearest servicer. That is where Any reputable Manufacture is going to tell you to go to.Sharp is not like a Walmart store that is just going to send you another unit.They attempt to repair these units first. I reccommend Sharp as one of 8 or 9 brands to look at before you purchase an LCD set.

I bought one of these so called grat TV in July, everything went well for 3 months and all of a sudden it startet to have problems with the image.
I went to the dealer and i was told to contact sharp since they have to replace the " video Card" I have tried several times to contact them no answer either via e mail and they cannot be reached over the phone.

Do not buy this SHARP TV (or other Sharp TVs) for the following reason:
The quality of the parts used and/or craftsmanship of the TV is not good. After a year or so every time I turn on the TV the screen stays black. I have to cut the TV on/off many times for it to finally return a picture. Sometimes I have to totally unplug it before a picture is returned. If you research this issue on google it seems to happen a lot. I contacted customer service who informed me since my one year warranty is up they can do nothing for me even though it seems to be a widespread manufacturing issue.Was this review helpful? Best tv's I ever had are sharp tv's from 90's until now.But this aquos is the best ever, if it get better than this please let me know.

Once you have all of the factory settings and kinks worked out, and have a satellite connection, (Yes it makes a difference) It's almost the best display you can achieve (1080i). I don't know what the guy was talking about with the sound. When watching regular HDMI HD content, the sound on this is better than a Pioneer Plasma. I Know, I own both. You have to set up the Dynamic sound on this baby. I scored support low because I simply don't know. Haven't had any problems.
