Once again, Sharp, a leader innovator in LCD TV technology, establishes a design standard for LCD TVs. Considerably lighter and thinner than conventional LCD TVs, the 65" class (64-33/64" diagonal) AQUOS LC-C6554U raises the bar by fitting a large screen size into an incredibly small footprint. By changing the layout of circuits inside the LCD panel and by cutting the number of parts, Sharp's engineers developed the "Slim-line" design which reduces depth by 25%.

The LC-C6554U utilizes Sharp's proprietary advanced super view/black TFT panel with multi-pixel technology, providing 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with enhanced picture contrast technology and 4ms response time. The LC-C6554U is an HDTV with built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners and includes 3 HDMI inputs, compatible with 1080p signals, a PC input and two HD component video inputs. Side terminals are included for convenience as well as an RS-232C input for control. Additionally, the AQUOS Link feature enables convenient control of AQUOS Blu-ray Disc players. The LC-C6554U features a sleek cabinet with subtle, recessed bottom-mounted speakers.
