A power pop punk band out of Silverlake, CA that mixes a garage rock edge with radiofriendly melodies and a grunge sensibility, Shapes of Race Cars was formed after singer, guitarist and songwriter Dylan Callaghan dissolved his previous band, Champion, and began playing out with bassist Dale Zyla and exDamone drummer Chas Smith as a trio, initially giving the band a fresh name for each gig, but eventually settling on Shapes of Race Cars (or SRC, as the band is known to its fans).
