I was amazed, mesmerized, hypnotized, and loved watching every performance from this concert. I would have to say that she might even beat out Madonna and Janet in every way. If Madonna chose Britney Spears as her "apprentice", she chose ...wrong.Her voice clearly is better. Her dancing is in her own style matching the dancing of Madonna, but certainly not Janet. She writes all of her lyrics and music(and they are all good), plays the guitar, plays the drums, plays the harmonica, has more than enough energy, charisma, and intelligence to give not a good, or better performance, but a great performance EVERY TIME. Only Madonna comes to mind when exceptional performances are had EVERY TIME yet she finally meets her match with Shakira.Socially conscious and beautiful, I haven't seen a chilling and true performance about social affairs that makes you realize so much than in her Octavo Dia performance. Starting off with Ojos Asi was a smart move that pulled you in and let you think that this is her at her best, and it is, but only one aspect of her. Other great performances are Objection (Tango), Underneath Your Clothes, Inevitable, and her beautiful and graceful, yet fun loving performance of Whenever Wherever. You'll simply be mesmeserized by the beginning and will be jumping by the end. She is in the parr of Madonna, Janet, Bon Jovi, Prince, and dare I say Elvis (with those hips), when it comes to performances. By her own actions, she is becoming something of her own invention that has not been seen before. At years to come before reaching 30, this Colombian Goddess is already becoming a musical force to reckon with. Grander pop stars and rock stars, take notes because she is one great performer.
