I'm from Israel and we've been fans of Ofra Haza for over 15 years. I must say we own all of her CD's but I have never never heard anything so magical and capturing like this CD. I thought at first that it will be hard to get used to the ethnic/yeme...nite (though I'm Yemenite) sounds. I was so Wrong. "IM NIN'ALU" AND "GALBI" are the best. Right after are "Love Song" and "Take Me to Paradise". BTW, "Take Me" and "Aching" are hebrew in "Broken Days" and they're called "This Pain" and "Come and Play On Me". Read more Less

This CD made Haza a household name throughout Europe because it was her first to sell millions of copies there, earning her the nickname "the Israeli Madonna." She combines Hebrew, Yemenite, and English in prayers and original compositions with a driving European dance beat. Included is the international hits "Im Nin Alu" and "Galbi" (later made famous after rap stars Eric B. Rakim sampled it for one of their hits). It's also available domestically on Sire with bonus remixes of the above tracks.
