A Big Flop For Several Reasons

Somewhere someone thought to base the screenplay of this big screen project on the best work by Beatles. Prior to its transfer to cinema "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" did well in its brief run on stage across the globe after the late John Lennon gave it his benediction. But Robert Stigwood who was responsible for the disaster "Tommy" became once it was brought to film was also in charge of this. The result were terrible covers of otherwise exceptional songs which were influential as well as musicians who should never have thought to perform in this capacity. Ignore this and if you must listen AND watch the tracks which were the inspiration for this debacle then there are superior alternatives available. ...

Lets be honest-this is one bad movie.BUT if your like me, hearing frampton and the bee gees on the radio as a kid then realising as a grown up that all that music was in fact really fantastic, than you can not have a complete life with out seeing it once.All though I garauntee you won't watch it again.It doesn't hurt to be a beatles fan as well because it is of course a story comprised of the srg. pepper songs.Lots of guest appearances and some small parts that kind of lead you to beleive they were allmost on to something good.Im not afraid to say they look pretty damb cool in those shiney srg. pepper out fits.Unfortunately you'll see why they will never where them again I'm sure. ...
