Signs of Love

This is absolutely one of the best romantic movies i've ever seen ... Kate Beckinsale is a marvellous actress than you will love even if you see her accidentaly (instead of John Cusak) ... The theme of the film is whether that an accidental meeting with someone, that didn't last for more than a few hours, can change your life and make you do your best to search for that special feeling that you felt when he/she was around ... John and Kate acting is fabulous, as if they are really a couple in love ... everything they did was so innocent and love-full that they convey it to the viewer ... the events and sequence are great and resemble real life ... and the search for (signs of love) really setts new meanings in the definition of a love story ... You will absolutely LOVE IT !!!

Anyone that would behave that way on film, or agree to act that way on film should be shot. Now, John Cusack is an amazing actor, but he sure didn't impress me in this movie. It could have been a cute story, but the directors added so much horrible and immoral junk, that it's not fit for anyone to see.

This could easily have been made as a Golden Era romantic comedy with Cary Grant or Jimmy Stewart and Kate Hepburn. It's a light, entertaining comedy and Beckinsale and Cusack are very good together. Piven plays himself which is always funny and Molly Shannon actually does a good job of subduing herself and only being manic on occasion. Eugene Levy fans will be pleased to see he is still hilariously obnoxious. Overall a very entertaining way to pass an evening. Rent it or buy it.

For those who are in love with love and life... but still waiting. I fall in love with this movie, and of course, with John Cusack (not as Jonathan Trager, but as himself: wonderful).
Tender, funny, excellent to watch anytime.
I am still trying to buy the soundtrack, but not available anywhere.

It's not the greatest movie ever made. I would not even know which one to pick for that, but this is a solid, romantic chick flick. I like the story because I do believe in the magic of meeting that certain someone that turns your whole world upside down. I believe in it because I am living it!When I met my husband all the odds and time were against us. We had to make a truly heartfelt decision back then after knowing each other only very briefly. Here we are know celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and very much in love! This movie is not about throwing away perfectly good relationships, but about trusting your heart and knowing to find the person you would TRULY be happy with and not settling for second best!

This was my girlfriends pick, but even she couldn't watch the whole thing. The idea behind it is unrealistic and the acting is unimpressive.

Johnathan and Sara...Romance, love, life, laughter... A meeting of chance. Serendipity makes you want to buy your lover roses... and your girlfriend an engagement ring! The movie has as much romance as a passionate on night stand, pretending to be love and happiness and the perfection of two lost souls, but you know that it is only worth the time spent.
Our hero and heroin battle the love they have, or once had, for their significant others with the passion they received from each other after a chance encounter in Bloomingdale's. The rest of the evening was a dream for each of them. As they struggle with their unfortunate situations they play quick little games with fate to see if it really is meant to be. Alas, a chase a Central Park hotel ends their evening as they lose each other around corners, never to see each other again.
However, call it fate, chance or Serendipity, they each attempt to contact each other before they wed their significant others. In the end... well, what do you think serendipity leads to?
You want them to meet, but you feel for the other half of their relationships, although less for Sara's fiance, as he could have been more likable.
You can watch this film, smile, and realize that you are not carefree enough to approach the alter with thoughts of "the one that got away", or you watch and know that nothing is ever certain, and that Senendipity really does play a role in our lifelong quest for love.Was this review helpful? we both thought it was unrealistic, sappy, and predictable. two thumbs down. the message: throw away perfectly good relationships for something that would never happen in real life.

Guys - my wife dragged me to see this - I was not thrilled, but I LOVED IT! The story was clever, the acting was incredible, and I wish I could see more of Kate Beckinsale - a true beauty. John Cusack was awesome, as he always is. Jeremy Piven was a great support - deserved an Oscar. I already pre-ordered it!
