SEETHER rocks~!
, August 15, 2003Reviewer: punk_rock10169 - See all punk_rock10169's reviewsThe SEETHER CD is one of the best CDS of the year! If you dont have the CD already go to you nearest Music Store and BUY IT NOW! Its DEFANTLY worth the money! This CD has a mixture of drugs, love, hate, suicide and everything that makes a good cd GREAT! I love the lyrics, the music, and overall its awesome! Shaun has a great voice and man is he good at the guitar! Oh yeah, and make sure to look for SEETHER on the road with Shinedown (another GREEAAT band), Our Lady Peace, and 3 doors down. I went to their concert a few nights ago and was blown away by shinedown and seethers talents! I met both bands and was convinced to buy the CDs so I did! And I listen to them none stop! FINE AGAIN is a awsome song. SO GO GET THE CD NOW!! ...

Pro Reviews: Seether
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Seether's debut EP contains one song that is absolutely fantastic, and that song is called "Gasoline." The track is a plodding monster, utilizing Iron Maiden-esque harmonic guitars in a much slower and more desperate environment than that comparison would merit. The lyrics from singer/songwriter Shaun Morgan are a harsh attack on rail-thin models that stick to the brain quite easily, and the memorable chorus only adds to the heavy atmosphere. This song is important because absolutely nothing else on the EP is as good as that track. The Alice in Chains-meets-emo of "Driven Under" is as close as any other song comes, and despite a great chorus, it lacks any memorable verses to carry it. But the rest of the album mires down in the muck of generic alternative metal, delivering all the typical groans and moans that would be expected from a group such as this. This is a true shame, because the aforementioned tracks point to only better things from this band. If they can avoid the trap of recycling grunge clichés, they have a bright future in the genre. As it stands, this EP is a mixed bag that might entertain, but says nothing about the future of this group. - Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide |

I ran to the music store the day this went on sale as I am a true Seether fan. It was even more than I anticipated. The more I listen to it the more songs that become my favorite off of it. I am usually correct when I predict a compilation to become a huge success as I usually like songs well in advance before it hits mainstream and this one is a winner. I have already moved beyond Fake It and have moved on to Fallen, No Jesus Christ, FMLUHM and Rise Above This. This is an awesome recording and Seether has developed themselves on this CD. I anticipate this to be a huge success for them and can't wait until the rest of the world catches up to it. ...
