Unsigned love letter causes all the grie

This movie is not made to be vritically analysed, if one does that it detracts fro the overall experience of the movie.It is featured in many "100 funniest movies of all time" lists and for a good reason, it is in some parts cringingly funny.The movi...e revolves around Michael Ryan (C Thomas Howell) and his love interest in Deborah Fimple (Kelly Preston).on the alst day of school he recieves an unsigned love letter and his friends lead him to believe that it is from Deborah (unbeknownst to him at the time it is actually from his good friend Toni, played by Lori Loughlin) so he confronts her at a frat party later that night and the hysterics start from there.I am not goign to tell you anymore, that will detract from your viewing experience, although the movie does not try to make a secret of who wrote the original letter, I am not going to tell yoiu the end result, you'll ahve to watch and see if it all ends in fairytale like fashion :).Overall a good movie that doesn't deserve much of the criticism that is aimed in its direction in a lot of cases,it was made for the teenage audience of 1985, not the would be movie reviewers of 2000 and beyond, you ahve to appreciate it for what it is, a great story that captures the decade perfectly, not what many think it could have been, it is true it could've been so much more, a all time classic if a bit more was put into the script, but that didn't happen and thats no shame as it is stilla good movie that gets rarer every day, as a little blue bird told me that this VHS will be out of print soon and the DVD release is......, well lets just say this is possibly your last chance to see this movie ever again, apart from the 3 year annual TV showing in australia on TEN.
