When a mutual friend introduced Germans Frank Spinath and Martin Vorbroot to each other, they both felt their personalities were too different to form a successful band. Soon, however, the contradictions started working in their favor, and the diverse electroindustrial sound of Seabound was born. One of their demos caught the attention of Dependent Records and the label released their debut, No Sleep Demon, in 2001.
