    Pros: The entire album

    Cons: Can't think of any

JUDAS PRIEST returned from the commercial attempt of Point Of Entry with a "vengeance". This album is pure British Heavy Metal, and the fans loved it. From the instrumental The Hellion through Devil's Child, there is not a bad song on t...his entire album. The cover of (Take These) Chains is not so much a ballad, as a song of lost love. The bonus track Prisoner Of Your Eyes was unreleased until the remaster of this album; and also appears on Halford Live Insurrection. Both versions are different but worth checking out for comparison. Definately worth checking out. \m/ \m/ Read more Less

This is by far...the best Priest album... Class-sick!!!! Accept has a couple of songs... (Fast as a Shark & Metal Heart) but they dont come close to Priest...British Steel to the death!!!!

Following the under-written, erratic Point of Entry, Screaming for Vengeance returned Judas Priest to the top of the metal heap, boasting a much more consistent set of songs, highlighted by the monumental "You've Got Another Thing Comin'." Some of the bluesier elements of Point of Entry are still here, but the heavier moments tend to dominate the album's flavor (particularly the title track); plus, there are arena-ready headbanging anthems like "Electric Eye," "Bloodstone," and, of course, "You've Got Another Thing Comin'," the latter two proof that the band really knew how to work a mid-tempo rock groove. Although the sound is commercial, Screaming for Vengeance doesn't feel like it's pandering, as Point of Entry sometimes did; it's a catchy, accessible metal record in the best sense of the description, and it rivals British Steel as Priest's best album of the '80s.

Judas Priest

Judas Priest was one of the most influential heavy metal bands of the '70s, spearheading the New Wave of British Heavy Metal late in the decade. Decked out in leather and chains, the band fused the gothic doom of Black Sabbath with the riffs and speed of Led Zeppelin, as well as adding a vicious two-lead guitar attack; in doing so, they set the pace for much popular hea... Read more
