One of my favorite romantic comedies!

This is one of the best movies to see if you love romantic, cute movies. Considering it was made the year after I was born, I had never really heard of this movie until a few years ago. Someone had said it was their favorite movie, so I bought it one day when I saw it at the store. I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it, and it is now one of my favorites! I wasn't a fan of Joan Cusack when I first saw her in the U.S. Cellular commercials, but after seeing this movie I'm a fan! And John Cusack is absolutely adorable!! He is so sweet to the girl, played by Ione Skye, who is also very pretty. I can relate to her character, Diane Court, who is the valedictorian and somewhat sheltered all through high school but learns to live once she meets Lloyd Dobler. My favorite part in the movie is when she gives him that pen! Classic.. and of course that song "In Your Eyes" is such a classic 80's love song. Bottom line: See this movie if you like romantic movies!

It's very difficult to film a love story that's not cliched or predictable -- even moreso when the movie is about teenagers. "Say Anything" is as good a film about teenage love as I've ever seen -- it's funny, too, and touching and sincere and did I mention funny?

The scene with Lloyd and his boom box is just amazing.

This movie is one of those dark horses that you dont expect to love but you do.
Great acting by the ever talented and loveable John Cusack gives this the must see quality.

Not an ordinary '80s Teen Movie

This has been one of my favorite movies for a long time. Before I knew anything about John Cusak, Joan Cusak, or Cameron Crowe I knew that there was something about this movie that was different. John Cusak does an amazing job portraying Lloyd Dobler in a unique, mysterious way - he is not your ordinary '80s teen - he gives Lloyd a sense of depth and sensitivity that is very appealing. I appreciate the realness of this movie and the approach of the humor in it.
Finally, I love the music in it!! :)

This is sooooo cute. Heavens. Very much a cute 80s movie. And it's hilarious... the plot is kind of ... it's... creative. But really, overall, it's one of those movies you could watch two or three times in a weekend and enjoy each time. And it has so many quotable lines!! The whole party scene with the rooster and the Key Master thing... "You must chill!! I have hidden your keys!!" Great fun!! Kick boxing... it's the sport of the future. : )

This is only an average movie if not for the classic acting of John Cusack. Not in the same leauge as Better Off Dead or The Sure Thing, but definately worth a viewing.
