    Sanyo Customer Support is horrible

    Pros: Great TV for the value picture quality was good sound was good ease of using great

    Cons: Sanyo Customer is the worst

    I purchased my Sanya 50 inch Plasma in 11/07 and was not having any problems up to now. (Manufacter Warranty) obviously expired and I didn't get the extended warranty. I still have sound but the picture has gone on my TV and the TV is just barely... a few months past the warranty. I called Sanyo and got no help at all they only concern was that it's out of warranty so there's nothing they can do. It very difficult getting through to Sanyo. You stay on hold sometimes 10 - 15 minutes to be disconnected suddenly. Then call back and stay on hold some more to be told it's your problem not ours. The repair man that I spoke to that they recommend gave me and estimate of $480.00 on what I told him the problem was. Guess I would still need to take it to him for him to look at it to get a set price to repair it. My suggestion to you is if you purchase this TV get the extended warranty. Good Luck. Read more Less

    Pros: great tv

    Cons: tough to hang on the wall

    Its a great tv , picture etc. is good.My dealings with sanyo were different, i had a 42" that broke down after warranty, i emailed them and they gave me a number to give to walmart where i bought the tv . And actually traded up, so the 50" ...plasma only cost me $150. So sanyo did ok by me. I dont call any company by phone for help. Straight to the email Read more Less
