Pros: great for me i mow the lawn and the time flys

this item is great i mow the lawn while listing to this i load songs when they get old i load more songe i have windows vista and had no problems with loading anything. i would tell everyone to buy. doesnt cost alot and great product.

First of all, I'd like to notice that I use my player for music listening mostly (no game playing or Internet access). Besides, I can't say that I have thousands of favorite songs.
So basicly, when I had the question of buying a mp3 player my requirements to it were: not big size, big enough screen which is easy to navigate and the music storage that can be increased.
I've checked several brands and their prices. Finally I decided to buy mine at http://go.shopsansa.com/. Now I own it about a month.
1. Advantages
The player is rather small but the screen is big to see everything clearly. Moreover, the screen is durable, I have no scratches on it though i'm not so delicate. It's easy to hold in my big hand, a tiny thing will be not a good choice for me. The meny is comfortable to navigate, i had no issues with it.
I was surprised by the good sound of my player. I like various music, but all genres of it were reproduced precisely.
Great advantage for is that there is no need to use iTunes with this mp3 player. Before Sansa I had iPod with iTunes. The software - iTunes were not comfortable for me, i couldn't organize my music the way i like. When i got Sansa I was so happy that I didn't need any special soft.
2. Disadvantages
I think the player looks a bit plastic comparing to other brands like iPod or Creative Zen. Probably it's because of combination of black and blue colors.
The player has rather sharp lines and I think doesn't look feminine.
Sansa player doesn't have many features as other players, it can be a disadvantage for those who are used to multi-functional media-players.

Pros: Excellent battery life
Cons: Turns into a pumpkin at midnight
I owned a m230 for a little over one year. I liked the player, especially its long battery life. The battery life was one of the reasons that I selected this player. Unfortunately, it locked up on me recently after I loaded a couple of new songs. The player has either a hardware or software bug where if it cannot index your music files because of bad formatting on a song, it will forever more try and accomplish this impossible task (locked up / frozen / turned into a brick). If you google this problem you will find that it is quite common. For some users it happens in days for others it takes months. If your player turns into a pumpkin before 1 year, Sandisk will grant you a new player, if its after midnight of the 1 year mark, well lets just say you get stuck with the pumpkin. So in short, the best you can hope for when you buy this mp3 player is that it craps out early so that you can get a chance to go through the replacement hassle. Sandisk has built the equivalent of the exploding gas tank Ford Pinto. Sandisk even admits that the players are "defective", but they will not replace/repair them if they are over one year old. Imagine Ford doing the same: Oh we are so sorry that you were rear ended and your Pinto burst into flames, but it unfortunately happened after the 3 yr / 36000 mile warranty, so we can't help you...

i liked this product, although its not very reliable its more of a replacable product. after awaile for mines it stopped working. the Mp3 player was really good when it worked though.

I bought my daughter this mp3 player for her 12th birthday. The instructions says to use the accompanying CD to set up the player. there wasn't a CD in the packaging, as a matter of fact the packaging was too small to even fit a CD. My oldest daughter went to the website and it says that you don't need the CD but we can't figure the darn thing out. My 12 year old now wants an iPod and wishes she could bury the mP3 player. if someone can help, I would be forever greatful.

Cons: Trouble when deleting MP3 files
This MP3 player is perfect for parents that are looking to get an MP3 player for their children but don't know how their child will take care of it. This is a great buy. Very easy to use. All you do is drag and drop. Or you can even use the Windows Media Player to sync the music. This is the picture perfect starter MP3 player. I advise not putting MP3 files with it because it will not delete the folders with it. But besides that it was worth every penny!
