    Pros: Small, Easy to use, Sound is great,

    Cons: Battery life is not what they say it is.....

    I got what I was looking for and what I paid for. This is great little player for the price. All features work as they should...does not take a genius to navigate this model. Did not come with lanyard...why? I am looking for a soft leather case to pu...t it in. I would buy it again, no problem. Samsung has a winner in this player, buy one and you won't be disapointed at all. Read more Less

    Pros: small

    Cons: plays once then goes out

    i have had two incidents with this player. it charges once then the second time round will not charge back plus the recharge time is 2.5 hrs. stay away dont buy this product.

    The performance is great, the equalizer and other settings like 3D sound and Bass are awsome for the price payed, if you have any problems with it at the usb port it's because of some updates form windows xp, the updates are the ones ended with n...umbers like, 424,478, or any thing else with four at the last three digits, I solve the problem deleting this uptades from my sistem. If you wanted to try it go to control panel, add an remove programs and proceed deleting the mentioned updates. Of course it will be smart if you first make sure that the update yo would like to remove if no crucial to operate your sistem. Read more Less

    Cons: Horrible instructions, battery life, won't sync to computer

    I have had this player for a few months now, and the first couple times I synced it to my computer just fine. Now the MP3 player won't sync to my computer at all. I called 1-800-samsung for support, but sat on the phone for 30 minutes, without an...yone picking up. I finally hung up, extremely irate at the lack of customer service. Samsung is probably the worst company I've come across when it comes to customer service. Their website is horrible when it comes to contacting them through e-mail... no one ever answers the phone at the customer service number, and the e-mails I do receive back from them are generalized answers with suggestions that I've already tried. I will never again waste my money on any samsung product again. Severely disappointed... don't waste your money or frustration. Read more Less

    Pros: alphabetical order, small, cheep, fast charge.

    Cons: no book manual, kind of small batery life.

    i got this for my birthday and i like it. i like how it automatically sorts it but i need help because the manual is in a cd and i cant download the manual. i need help putting things on favorites and making playlists.

    Pros: The only mp3 player/flash drive i've found that uses internal Lith-ion to power the player so it charges whenever plugged into any usb port. No more AAA batteries that last barely a week and make the size of the units bigger to accomodate. Great music playing and support, FM Radio gets a surprisingly decent signal.

    Cons: Having problems getting windows to see the drive on 3 of my PCs at home. For some reason it works fine on my office PC. perhaps its only 1.1 USB? not sure. Still too big :P

    I've searched for weeks to find the right keywords to google for to find a flashdrive/mp3 player with the built-in dongle that was still the normal size of a normal usb flash drive, AND was lithium-ion powered so that the USB port could recharge ...the battery instead of having to deal with AAA batteries which in turn make most of these types of players much larger. Not only is it smaller than most, it even has more features like the FM radio and equalizer features. Still, Im picky and wish someone would make an even smaller mp3 flash drive lith-ion drive. And perhaps some sort of indentation on the drive to support the knob part of the headphone jack. So that i wouldn't protrude out the side and risk damage. Overall a fantastic device. I'm not sure what was wrong with the other reviewers devices. I use it 30 min each way on the train to and from work. I charged it only once so far and after the first week, it still has 60% charge left. Thats over 2.5 hours for 40% of the battery. Should last easily 5-6 hours. Read more Less

    Pros: Compact, Radio, Recorder, USB charging

    Cons: no lanyard, track display small

    I find this unit to be a joy but it was initially a problem to sync with my wal-mart music store. I received tech support from them that I needed to down load a certificate from microsoft to get it to work with this player. The unit is compact, and I... filled it with 119 songs before it was full. The recorder is a fun feature but playback requires max volume with headphones to hear it. The fm only radio works well outside but less so in a building. It has scan or you can set presets but I needed the manual to understand how to set it up. It has two LEDs that have an adjustable rate from off, button, rndm, to steady on but it eats battery life. Fun Unit you will enjoy but should've came with a lanyard Read more Less

    I purchased the YP-U2J a few months ago, and i have loved it. The battery life is great the syncing (sp?) is easy and the navigation is cake to use. I have used all of the functions on the device and everything works the way it should. I especially l...ike the direct to windows media recorder. I have, however, run into a few little tics that seem minor, but can be frustrating. 1) The player does not play album tracks in the order they appeared on the album. I have made sure that the ID3 tags are up to date, but the player just playes them in whatever order it wants. I expect that this is a firmware issue and can be upgraded. 2) The only other issue that i have is the location of the headphone jack. Just weird to have it on the side like that. Read more Less

    Cons: Not as durable as i thought?

    This was a great device I had for a while (other than the fact I needed more GBs). I carried it in my purse practicly 24/7 and listened to it on the bus. It was easy to put music on with the direct USB connect. After using Itunes for a while this is ...a big RELEIF!     For the money, there really isn't any better mp3 player out there. The battery is a Li-ion, so you don't have to buy loads of batteries - which add to the real cost of using the player - and it charges quickly when plugged into a USB port. Th...e half a gig memory isn't much compared to more expensive models, but it still can hold a hundred songs or so. Also, you can use it as a flash drive to store data like Word and PowerPoint documents. The FM tuner is a nice bonus, and the voice recorder works very well. Nearly every week I hear of one of my friends complaining about how their iPod broke and how much it will cost to fix it. This player is very tough. It spent 15 minutes in the washing machine before I remembered it was in there. I dried it out and it worked good as new. I've also dropped it several times and it still keeps on kicking (the light weight also helps since it doesn't hit the ground as hard as a larger player would). You can't use iTunes with this player, but Windows Media Player version 11 works just as well. Besides, it's nice to have a choice other than the Apple monopoly that has been dominating this market for years. Read more Less
