Cons: Exterior controls, use while in case, non-upgradable
In the struggle to decide on Ipod Nano or the other guy, I found the T9. The 4GB memory holds plenty for everyday use. The cost was on average 30 bucks less then the Ipod 4GB with better features. The screen is larger then Ipod. Granted it's small but came in very handy on a few flights I've been on in keeping me entertained with some music videos and TV episodes. The software that is included is very easy to navigate and should be used in loading files but doesn't have to be. It will automatically convert video files to the correct format and set up play list. It comes with a few games, though they are a bit childish, it kept me busy. More games are available for download. The FM tuner produces surprisingly good quality as well as the voice recorder. You can record straight to the device off any FM station. Overall, I love it. Very user friendly and lots of great features. Now for the cons. Unlike Apple it is not upgradable. Meaning, you are stuck to MP3, WMA, JPEG and MPEG4 files. The exterior controls are a little out of place. The Menu, Play, record, and back buttons are all on the side. Not a big deal if you are not using a case but makes it a pain if you are. Pros: small, great batt liffe, lovely screen
Cons: Slow menu but that's it.
It's basically the same size as the Nano but packs a few more punches and costs less. 30 hr battery life, large screen, and sounds excellent. The FM works great and can be recorded in mp3 format. The menus are said to be slow but it doesn't affect me.
