Pros: good user interface. convinent resolution/format switching
Cons: bad HD signal reception, needs reboot every other day
I got this receiver from circuit city deal, mostly because the many outputs that I can choose. The user interface is quite friendly and the HDTV quality is quite good (when it works!).
This model is quite sensitive to the ATSC signal, when I connect it to the indoor antenna, even I was 7 feet away from it, any movement I made could potentially break the signal.
And then there is a problem with DirecTV, they downloaded some updates to this receiver that cause it to drop direcTV service from time to time. I have to press the reset button to get the service back on again.
After complaining to them, they now gave me a comparable model (LSS-3200A) from LG/Zenith. It's ATSC turner works much better then this model with the same indoor antenna I have. And the direcTV HD channels also looks pretty good.
If you are planning to use indoor antenna with this receiver, forget it. Get the LSS-3200A instead. ...
