one of the best phones i've used

By hmmmm  Dec 4, 2006 | 9 out of 10 found this Samsung SGH-D900 Ultra Edition 12.9 review helpful

    Pros: good looking graphics

    Cons: haven't found any

This has gotta be one of the most stylish phones out there. It's easy to use, has wonderful graphics and a above average camera. The best part about it is the thickness or should I say thinness. The PC suite that came along with it was also quite... easy to use considering i didn't read any manuals and got it to work fine for me. All in all this phone is worth the money i paid for it(can't quote u coz not in US). This is a very fun phone to use and fits in the tightest of spaces. To summarise, GET IT IF U WANT IT. lol and i got a free bluetooth headset too ^.^ Read more Less

    Pros: Features, Size, Style, Durability

Cons: Battery Life, Price (Imported D-900 Black Carbon), Body Attracts Grease

I purchased the Samsung D-900 Black Carbon back in November when it first released. The phone is amazing. The size is great, the style is awsome, the color and graphics are great...there isn't much bad to say about this phone. I'v...e dropped it 2x now and there's nothing more then a indent from the ground. The body is made of a good material, only complaint is it attracts grease a LOT. The headphone jack is a little annoying, you have to buy an adapter piece or buy the special headphones. MP3 quality is good and with the miniSD expansion slot, it makes buying an MP3 player pointless. The phone is an all-in-one for me. There are some reception problems, places were most phones have good reception I have close to non. Had no problem with my Motorola RAZR in the same area with the same service. Screen being exposed is a little dangerous for me. Working in a warehouse, I have to take my phone out and leave it on my desk or risk the screen being destroyed. Overall, I'd recommend the phone to anybody. Its been with me for 8 months now and I've had no problems with it. A must have. Read more Less

    Fantastic phone

By Kitty  Mar 10, 2007 | 2 out of 2 found this Samsung SGH-D900 Ultra Edition 12.9 review helpful

Pros: Design, size, features, great camera - pretty much everything

    Cons: None

An excellent phone from Samsung that combines industry-leading features in small attractive design. It has an all-around elite feel, and even though it is not cheap (for some reason no U.S. cell providers have picked up this phone yet, maybe it's... too good for them), it is definitely worth the money, especially if you like using different features, such as internet browser, e-mail, 3 MP(!)digital camera with camcorder function and very good MP3 player (phone comes with quality headphones). The phone has plenty of built-in memory, and it also has a micro SD card slot (I use a 1 GB card). D900 works well with T-Mobile, reception is good, the sound quality is pretty good, maybe not the best. Even though U.S. carriers don't officially support the phone, Samsung does support it in the U.S. with warranty and tech support. I've had it for 1.5 months, got it from Samsung website, and I would recommend to buy it from them. Make sure you fully charge and fully discharge the battery for at least first few charges to make sure it lasts long, and you will love this phone. I was disappointed with Motorola Razr's reliability, through it away and bought this phone, and I have been more than satisfied. It takes some getting used to (for example, using the camera), but the phone is really worth the time and money. I have seen and compared many other GSM phones and I believe that D900 is the best phone in the U.S. overall. Buy this phone and you won't be disappointed! Read more Less

    Awesome Phone!

By JulesD  Jun 27, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Samsung SGH-D900 Ultra Edition 12.9 review helpful

    Pros: Camera, screen clarity, thiness

Cons: usb software not vista compatible

I absolutely love this fan...I bought mine for around $250 unlocked and use it with Cingular. It works wondefully, great reception, easy to use...I had a motorola before going to Samsung, and its like going from driving a VW to driving a Cadillac. It... is a very sweet phone, the only thing I don't like is that the software to download to the phone is not windows vista compatible. Overall I am so happy with this phone, and definitely worth the money. Read more Less

I have had this phone for 2 years

By David  Apr 26, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Samsung SGH-D900 Ultra Edition 12.9 review helpful

Pros: lightweight, battery life, easy to use

    Cons: USA version is cheaper

I stopped purchasing USA phones when I bought this two years ago. The overseas version has a much longer battery life, easy to use, and several more options. However, there is NO support in this county. I find it humerous they are just getting to rel...ease ithere now. If you want the best versons of phones purchase a quad-band forgien phone. For samsung, you can get service at the store in NYC. I have wonderful reception and a 2 meg camers. they are now making a 10 megapixel camera but the phone is big! I have one on order and will let you know about it Read more Less

    Great phone!

    By KevinL  Jul 9, 2008

Pros: Style, size, screen clarity, features

Cons: Ring/ alarm volume not loud enough.

Just recently got this phone and I really like it. I actually got the D900i version. My only gripe is that the ring and alarm volume isn't loud enough. I always miss calls because I couldn't hear it go off. My old Samsung is way louder. Anoth...er thing is that I can't get pictures as caller ID. Read more Less

IT HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS~

    By Ranya K  Jun 11, 2008

Pros: Chic look, good resolution, nice size and weight

Cons: faults in camera, slow in responding

I purchased this phone, not knowing much about Samsung phones, turns out besides the look each phone is just about the same, except some have more capabilites, and some have less. This particular phone, didnt have all the functions I would have liked it ...to have, paying as much as I did. The camera is good,The zoom in/out is good for a camera phone,WARNING the camera is quite slow, mine once took the shot a whole 4 seconds after I clicked capture! What was very disapointing to find out was that, you can't zoom in on a photo after you've taken it,in view mode. Also files take awhile to open, get annoying. The sound volume is good, for a phone.Plays sound files well, though the sound gets kinda fuzzy when you put it on the highest. The software the phone came with was easy to use, which was great! And the colors are pretty good too! And it has the main functions you'd want it to have. Read more Less
