I'm so happy I made the switch!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 2, 2004 | 16 out of 17 found this Samsung SCH a670 review helpful

Pros: Reception, graphics, easy to use, and the list goes on

Cons: No embedded games, lackluster ringtones, no 24-hour clock

I replaced my T720 with the SCH-A670 and so far I'm just thrilled! I found this phone to be easy to use(no longer running for the manual), and very easy to customize with the Get It Now technology. The graphics are outstanding! A camera was no...t a requirement, but I enjoy the spontanaity of being able to capture images of friends and family to use as a screen saver. The blue back-lighting makes the keys stand out, the alpha-numeric text is easy to read. It holds a charge well and best of all - it has fine reception. Reception is very BIG in my book, as I work exclusivly in ancient concrete buildings. With my first phone, I thought it was just poor wireless service...nope, it was just a poor phone. The only complaints I have about my new phone is the embedded ringtones are are totally without merit(boring, boring, boring) and there were no embedded games. With such wonderful graphics the phone ought to have a game or three included! I would have prefered a 24-hour time display option, but oh well. Overall, this is a great little phone! Read more Less

    sch-a670, it's about time I found a good phone

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 22, 2005 | 3 out of 5 found this Samsung SCH a670 review helpful

    Pros: long battery life

Cons: I will have to get back to you on that one.

The Samsung sch-670 is a great phone. I had three different phones last year and this one is by far the best. Most cell phone cameras don't even claim a megapixel, but the Samsung sch-a670 does claim their 1+ megapixel camera. The battery seems t...o last forever, my phone had one bar and it lasted for days. great phone Read more Less

I never want a new phone...

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 30, 2005 | 1 out of 1 found this Samsung SCH a670 review helpful

Pros: Camera, picture caller ID, size, durability

    Cons: no speakerphone

This is by far the best phone that I have ever had. Its been dropped on the pavement so many times, but is still going strong. Its very compact and light. The camera even has a flash, so pictures are decent quality. The ringtones that come with the p...hone are only ok, and i would love for it to have a speakerphone. But otherwise this phone is a great value and well worth the money invested in it! Read more Less

    good phone

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 12, 2005 | 1 out of 2 found this Samsung SCH a670 review helpful

    Pros: lightweight, convenient, good features

Cons: i'm used to a tri mode, dropped coverage in mountains

The only bad I have to say about this phone is that if you are used to a tri-mode phone and live in an area that doesn't have complete digital coverage, the dropped calls will annoy you. However, when you do have digital service, it's the cle...anest sounding phone (I've had seven). My associates can't believe I'm using a cell unless I'm mobile, they can hear the traffic. Incredible clarity. The pic part of the phone isn't too shabby either, for the price...actually probably three or four times as much. If you've been looking for a good phone, with great features at a good price, look very hard at this one! Read more Less

    Avoid it

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 20, 2007

    Pros: bright screen, good camera

    Cons: battery life, screen display

this phone survived some abuse (sand and a couple drops) but i went through 2 of them, the first one wouldn't hold a charge any longer, and the one i have now (till i get a new one tomarrow) has a broken screen, the screen will only work when it ...wants to, it's not a very reliable phone. i would definately invest in something better! Pretty Awesome!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 16, 2006

Pros: Digital Camera takes clear pictures.

    Cons: No games...

This is a pretty awesome phone. I've had it since about April, and I love it! The photos you can take with it...are amazing! There aren't games on it, but that's okay for me. This phone has been dropped about a bazillion times, but it sti...ll works! I love the battery, because I can have it on for a week, and it'll still be at two bars! YAY! haha, overall...it's a pretty great phone! Read more Less

Good Phone for over 2 years

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 8, 2006

Pros: Decent Connectivity, I LOVE being able to Check My EMAIL using the Internet via Phone!, Compact, Color, Too many Pros that I'm surely forgetting some of them now....

Cons: Carrier Plan Vzn, at first, required 1yr Contract, but am now able to go mo-to-mo

I've had this phone for over 2yrs. At the time I bought it, this was one of the TOP-OF-THE-LINE phones. I am happy I invested in this phone! Having lasted me two-years, I think I should look at upgrading my phone. But it's taken this long fo...r many of the phones to catch up to features that this phone has offered. The only thing that I can see that this phone does not offer is BlueTooth. I don't know..... still contemplating buying another phone. I mean.... I have color, the internet, access to my email (even my personal email address - included with plan), the ability to take/send decent on the spot pictures, a Calendar on my phone which I keep sync'd with my Yahoo Calendar, and...... my gosh.... I think I'll have to upgrade soon, but I just don't want to lose anything! I am THAT Satisfied. HOWEVER: The Customer Service Reps that Verizon uses must be part of their Outsourced Labor. This Labor OverHead Cost factor could easily cost Verizon some Customers. Honestly, I'd rather speak with someone who Speaks English As A Second Language than some who speaks "Harlem Phonique" with An ATTITUDE! If you don't like your job, QUIT! This being said. It's a small trade-off for me to continue being a smart customer. My one detraction, noted above, is an obvious obstacle for Verizon. I'd rather speak with someone with a Brooklyn Accent versus a Baghdad Accent, but I'd prefer a Humble Customer Service Representative - one who acknowleges that it's my money paying their Salary. Does this make sense? Thanks. (post your responses, please) Chris Read more Less

    Missing some key features

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 2, 2006

Pros: Good ergonomics, nice screen, good battery life

Cons: No mute button, no speaker phone, and even when silent, a voice mail makes the phone chirp!

Learned more after buying this phone unfortunately. Fell for the buy 1 get 1 free deal, and what looked to be a good interface. There is no mute button when you're on a call, so if you're in a windy place, the person (or people ) on the othe...r end hear all the background noise. When I change phone to silent or vibrate, it doesn't turn off the voice mail alert, which is incredibly embarrassing in a meeting or conference. No speaker phone. The camera is nice, but an extra; not something I needed. I wouldn't buy this one again. Read more Less
