Great Tv For The Price

Pros: Rich Colors ,1080p, size vs money(value)

Cons: Sound but that is pretty much every other Flat Panel.

I went to the store needing a new TV. and i was looking at vizio,sony,samsung,ect(na
me brand). For the money no other TV could compete. 50 inchs for 1 thousand. vizio 47 lcd or lg 42, sony 42 so on and so on.I myself am a champion for lcd but plasma for the money looks as good as the more expensive lcd. plus plasma is 600 hz, lcd just got to 240hz. plasma is going to make a big come back and i see why. plasma used to be too expensive but with big plasmas like this coming out with a good price tag then how could you go wrong.

I think the speakers in this thing is actually very good , but the problem like most flat panels is that the speakers are in the rear of the tv. i personally think the volume is good enough with out extra speakers, but since i had my own speakers i hooked them up anyways.

this tv would make any one happy i would highly recommend it to anyone

Pros: Wonderful beautiful picture. Bright enough for bright room. Easily turn down for dark room with 3 easy to use presets. 3 hdmi inputs (use these if possible) Beautiful realistic colors straight from box. Excellent value to cost ratio. Wonderful tools for burn in that is common for plasmas. No need to fork over another grand for a 120 hz lcd with same functionality.

Cons: Speakers for TV are not good. You will need a stereo/home audio hookup (preferably hdmi or digital optical sound) No way to adjust preout tv sound using samsung remote. (you will need another remote for stereo/home audio)

Let me start by saying that this is a beautiful television. You will be hard pressed to find one that will produce such vibrant colors that also can process fast movement as well as this one. The extended life of this plasma has reached 60,000 hour before half luminosity (that is 20 years at 8 hours a day i believe). This television is also wonderful in our family room that has 4 windows, all four of which are south facing and high on the wall to let sunlight in during the afternoon. I have had no issues with the brightness. I have heard that samsung's customer service is nonexistent, so that may be a sticking point for you. Overall, I would encourage anyone to purchase this tv. You will not be dissappointed! Be sure not to leave the tv on its side for long during transport. Warm it up in the house before plugging it in. And ALWAYS protect from burn in during first couple weeks by running low brightness. etc.
