    the picture quality is SUPERB!!!!!!!.. specialy when you get HDTV from your cable company.. the picture quality is undescribable.. awesome picture quality. those of you who are sports fan.. this is the TV for you.. i been watching the 2006 NBA PLAYOF...FS on it.. and i cant tell you how happy i am watching the playoffs on my new LCD HDTV then i was on regular TV that i owned.. you will not be disapointed at the quality of this TV.. best part is.. you can plug and play alot of things with this TV.. IPOD is one of them.. and game lovers this is also the best TV you can get.. i play halo on it all day long and guess what? I LOVE IT.. its awesome.. Read more Less

    Pros: best picture from all angles I have seen

    Cons: none so far

    Read in PC World that this tv was reated a best buy. After reading reviews on all the others I decided to get it. I am not disappointed. Fantastic picture, good looks and great sound.

    Pros: Fantastic picture. HD is flawless. Analog way better than most LCD's I've viewed. Sharp overall appearance.

    Cons: Sound average. Menu is basic, could have more. Remote needs to be changed. Samsung has used same remote setup for years.

    I install custom home theaters and have been around and viewed so many models of LCD and plasma TV's. I decided to get a new TV for the bedroom and this one took the cake hands down. It has vibrant color detail, wonderful HD picture, and does a g...reat job with all analog channels. You're still not getting the sharp contrast from a CRT tube TV but LCD technology is sure catching up in a hurry. I looked at many different models and did a lot of research before choosing the Samsung. You will pay a little more for this TV but it will be worth it in the long run. I did some price matching between the electronic stores Best Buy, Circuit City, and HH Gregg and purchased the TV for 1300 out the door. Here are some Menu settings that will give you a jumpstart on tweaking the TV out of the box. Set "mode" to Movie...will increase black level viewing. Contrast: 95-100 Brightness: 70 Color: 52 Sharpness: 50 I used Digital Video Essentials for the calibration. These numbers provided me with what I though was a fantastic picture. Enjoy!!!     Easy to use and figure out Great Picture

    I bought this set based on reviews and others. I found myself coming back to look at it over the others in the store (Sam's Club). During this time I talked with another prospective buyer who said everything he'd read gave great reviews ratin...g it second after SONY. The price difference was enough to sell me and I bought it on the spot. It's easy to move around as it only weighs 40 lbs +/-. It was pretty easy to set up and I had my Direct TV set up for HD reception. The guy who did the work liked the set too. So far, so good. I guess the real proof will be 5 or more years down the road.     Great LCD HDTV

    Pros: amazing picture, good sound, outstanding a/v plugs

    Cons: duh, cost

    I waited years to go flat panel. I kept waiting for the prices to drop but they did so more slowly than I anticipated. I also spent a great deal of time tracking technology improvements and overall quality of flat panels by reading reviews and talkin...g to people. They were always mixed. Then this Samsung came out. The reviews I read were overwhelmingly positive. Then my local department store was offering 30 months financing at no interest so I made the leap. It might take me a while to pay this baby off, but after watching it for months now I have absolutely no regrets. Well, except that now I feel like I have to get a quality sound system to go along with this amazing picture. Read more Less

    Terrific TV

    Pros: Great image and viewing angle.

    Cons: Analog tv quality is poor.

    This tv is terrific: viewing angle = superb, high light situations = amazing, use with computer and video game console = outstanding. Would highly recommend this tv, in particular for a complete mutlimedia experience.

    Pros: Great color, clarity. Stylish.

    Cons: None, so far.

    I got a good deal on this tv online (TV Authority). I'm really pleased thus far. I want to say thanks to the Best Buy rep. who recommended a Samsung. Just running a cheap Wal-Mart dvd player to it looks awesome (with component cables). Unfortunat...ely I can't afford any true HD content right now, but I've seen this unit in its HD glory, and it's magnificant. It compares very favorably with the Sony unit. As a bonus, I get a lot of comments on the TV's sleek black color. Overall, I highly recommend it. Shop around, but be careful. Some of the online deals seem really good, but they're stripped down import versions. TV Authority got me the real deal for $1000 including shipping. Go for it. Read more Less

    Pros: Picture excellent, easy to use, nice menu's and features, looks ace

    Cons: sound is poor. manual could be better. can switch off tv without turning off plug

    I was really disappointed that, in this day and age, samsung still making tv's that dont actually have a power off function on the tv. you can put the tv on standby function, but this still uses power to keep the red light on at the front of the ...tv. in order to completely cut the power you have to switch off at the plug which can be really inconvenient. I cant imagine it would have been that tricky to just put a simple power switch on the tv, especially when people are so aware of conserving energy these days. Read more Less

    Wicked LCD TV

    Pros: Picture quality excellent and design is great

    Cons: sound quality

    This is my first LCD TV. I was debating between LG's 32" and Samsung's LN-S3251D. I chose the samsing LN-S3251D because of how the color and picture stands out when it was next to LG'S 32". Another thing that caught my attention... is the shiny borders samsung has. Read more Less
