I had this Tv just one year old , the quality is bad , now i have to sent my Tv for the services , the picture is moving up and down , it's suck.I'll not buy the new Tv from Samsung , maybe Panesonic is a better name.

I purchased this tv two weeks ago. I compared to the Panasonic series plasmas. I chose this set over the panasonic because of the jet back professional appearance of this set versus the silver cabinet of the pansonic. Both pictures are remarkably the same. The speakers on this set are hidden, their sound is ok, but a home theatre system enhances the sound nicely. I am still using an analog signal but can tell you the picture is fantastic and when using a quality DVD playerand home theatre system, you will feel like you just paid your cinema ticket! Since this set was destined for the Master Bedroom, I wasn't influenced by 1080 versus 720P sets that the sales reps were pushing, I did however buy the extended warranty incase of screen burn-in. Samsung is supposed to have auto screen contols on this set tp prevent it from happening, so far, so good. love the set!

Very nice picture, Decent value among Plasmas. Make sure to set your cable box to 16;9 screen. I didn't and I'm regretting it. The black bars on the left and right side are slightly burnt into the screen. Luckily, Samsung was extremely responsive to the issue. The TV was still under warranty so they sent a guy out that showed me how to run screen protection, he showed me how to set my cable box to 16;9, he calibrated my surround sound(which was a panasonic), and showed me how to switch my movies to DTS in order to get the best out of my surround sound system. The TV's very nice, the service was excellent, but screen-burn will be a problem forever with plasmas, just be cautious not to leave the same image on the screen for too long.

Cons: No picture after two months
This piece of garbage was picked up by me on 10/12/06 and the picture is shot two months later. I just get a blank screen. Although I have a wranty, who wants to be dealing with this nonsense a little after two months from picking up a $1600 tv. Don't waste your time on a samsung.

Pros: Styling, great picture, sound quality is great.
Cons: Some images appear darker than they should
I have had this TV for several months now and I still love it. The HD images are unbelievable. Sound quality is great too. When I bought this plasma TV, I looked at several brands and this one looked the best and had the best image of all the sets on display (except maybe the Sony sets). Amazingly, all of the Panasonics that I saw on display had artifacts and image problems. The Samsung looked great and so did the Sony sets but the Samsung was cheaper and I liked the styling of the cabinet much more.
Don't just take the word of a reviewer. Look at this plasma TV on display side by side with the competition and you will love this TV.
