Samiam is a California power pop- and punk-influenced band given a shot at the big time following the successes of Green Day and the Offspring. The band is made up of vocalist Jason Beebout, guitarist Sergie Loobkoff, guitarist James Brogan (a former member of Social Unrest), bassist Aaron Rubin and former Redd Kross drummer Victor Indrizzo, who also works with Masters of Reality. After its formation in 1988, the band recorded a series of independent albums and had several lineup changes. Their major-label debut, Clumsy, was released by Atlantic in 1994. You Are Freaking Me Out was released on Ignition in 1998, and Astray followed two years later.
