Glenn Danzig formed this transitional punk/metal band with drummer-turned-bassist Eerie Von immediately following the breakup of the Misfits. His maturing songwriting during this period shows less of the Misfits' violent horror imagery and more pagan/evil themes, which would show up in greater detail later in the band Danzig.
