    Pros: Heavy metal creation

    Cons: none

Black Sabbath hit their peak with this release. You can't get enough of it. The sound of this recording carried over for many years as more metal bands became famous copying this sound.

    Black Sabbath's finest hour

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 5, 2003

At first I was somewhat dissapointed when I first bought this CD cause it didn't have the Sabbath sound compared to their earlier albums but after a few listens it's a classic, National Acrobat should've been added on the Symptom of the U...niverse collection and same with Killing Yourself to Live. More Evil than Volume 4

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 26, 2002

Black Sabbath puts up another masterpiece with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in late 1973, it's more creepy than Volume 4 and Ozzy shines with the title track, National Acrobat, Killing Yourself to Live and Spiral Architect plus Tony Iommi's guitar sounds a...re top notch, plus the album cover is awesome as well.At first when you buy this album, you may feel somewhat dissapointed, but after a while when you get use to it, you'll love this album even though it's more mellow, but it's alot better than Techincal Ecstasy. Bloody Sabbath

Perfect. My favorite is A national acrobat. Incredible! Geezer is unbelievable on this album. He tuned his bass down three half notes which enables him to bend the strings for a full note instead of fingering. Also this is Ozzy's best vocal performan...ce in his whole career, listen to him singing the high notes on the title track. And take a look on this cover! Read more Less

    New style

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 29, 2002

Sabbath has used a different approach here, and apparently kept it until Ozzy departed the band. Synthesized, but still a very good CD, though not quite as strong as "Volume 4", their previous album.

    One of the best.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 6, 2001

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath holds one of the three trophies as one of their best albums right next to Sabotage & Master Of Reality. I liked how tey decided to "experiment" on tis one with a somwhat progressive sound. Although toned down compared to other ...Black Sabbath albums, This one is still very essential, as well as the other three listed above. My favorite tracks are Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Killing Yourself To Live. Read more Less

THE METAL KINGS LOOK INWARD ON SAB-BLOODY-SAB, A VERY VERSITAL ALBUM. THE OPENING TRACK, SBS, STARTS OFF WITH AN ANGRY INDIAN WAR DANCE RIFF FROM TONY AND THEN BLENDS IN WITH THE FUZZIEST GEEZER EVER, COMPLETE W/ JAZZ INTERLUDE AS OZZY REVENGEFULLY S...INGS "YOU BASTARD!".SPIRAL ARCHITECT INTROS WITH THE LEFT-HANDERS GREAT ACOUSTIC (WHEN IS SAB GOING TO DO AN UNPLUGGED?) AND WITH SOME OF THE BEST BUTLER LYRICS EVER DELIVERED W/ GREAT SOARING HARMONIES SUNG BY JOHN O. FLUFF FLOATS LIKE HELIUM FILLED COTTON CANDY (IOMMI CAN BE NICE TOO). A NATIONAL ACROBAT HAS THE BUTLER-IOMMI FUZZ WAH WAH HAPPENING WHILE OZZY'S VOCALS BALANCE THAT TIGHT ROPE, ( GREAT OFF-BEATS BY WARD)"JUST REMEBER LOVE IS LIFE AND HATE IS LIVING DEATH, TREAT YOUR LIFE FOR WHAT ITS WORTH AND LIVE FOR EVERY BREATH"-GEEZER IS A GENIUS!KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE HAS SOME GREAT TEMPO CHANGES (THIS SONG CAN PUT YOU 6' UNDER) ALSO SOME OF OSBOURNE'S HIGHEST VOCALS (SMOKE IT-GET HIGH) EVER. MORE OUTSTANDING LYRICS BY BUTLER ON LOOKING FOR TODAY- "IT'S COMPLETE BUT OBSOLETE FOR TOMMAROW HAS BECOME YESTERDAY" ADN IN YOUR FACE DRUMMING BY BILL (ALSO TONY LOVES TO PLAY THAT FLUTE). SABBRA CADABRA HAS A GREAT IOMMI RIFF WHICH BUILDS LAYER OVER LAYER BUT WHAT REALLY MAKES THE SONG IS RICK WAKEMAN'S KEYBOARDS AND OZZY'S SYNTHESIZED VOCALS (ESPECIALLY AT THE END WITH THE AD LIB LAUGHTER) Read more Less
