a good cd
Pros: it's great
Cons: newstead NEEDED to try harder on most songs
everyone including the orcestra did goos but newstead he was playng early and out of tune good thing you all lost him

THIS CD IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST CD'S I'VE EVER LISTENED TO. HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH A BEST OF METALLICA CD, YOU CANT THATS HOW. I LOVE THIS CD AND WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE, AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE METALLICA OR THIS CD IS UTTERLY HOPELESS AND DOESN'T DESERVE TP HAVE EARS!!!

you know, when i first bought this album, it was before i bought all the old stuff so i thought it was good at the time. however, since 95% of the songs on Load and Reload suck, that makes this album suck too. the orchestrations are very good, but just don't fit with their older songs, which is why we have the crap from Load and Reload in the first place. Metallica was better before James learnes how to sing, and the Live Sh@t: Binge and Purge album kicks this album's ass! one more thing. don't blame Metallica for selling out, blame Bob Rock for it, cuz after he came on as producer, that's when the

All of you uptight rocker purists should just **** off! Symphony & Metal mix excellently, as while Metallica & The San fran Cisco Symphony Ochestra deal with different styles of music, part of being a great musician is to be versatile. Which both outfits show in spades o this LP.

S&M may have an interesting concept, but overall this album doesnt seem at all much like a big deal. Ok some of the songs go well with orchestra, like Until It Sleeps or their new song No Leaf Clover, but the band sounds as if theyre not really putting their heart and soul into the music, and it does get really tiring after a while. If you want some good Metallica, get these albums:
1.Kill Em All (1983)
2.Ride The Lighting (1984)
3.Master Of Puppets (1986)
4.And Justice For All (1988)

They're using their old material to re-edit and remixing them so it's suitable enough for symphonies and orchestras to appeal their new alternative fans for producing this
