Interesting update on a classic movie.

Cons: Trying to fit this story around the previous movie
Before I saw this movie, I watched "The Graduate" again for the first time in many, many years. I was surprised that this "classic" movie did not hold up as well as I had thought it would. Issues that were controversial at the time the movie was made (such as older woman/younger man relationships and class issues) are now accepted casually or even no longer real issues.
So after seeing the original, I was pleasantly surprised with "Rumor Has It." It is a great vehicle for Jennifer Aniston, and Shirley MacLaine is hilarious as the "real-life" Mrs. Robinson. The only jarring note was that, while Kevin Costner is perfect for his role in this movie, it is impossible to believe that the geeky character played by Dustin Hoffman in the original would grow up to become Kevin Costner. Ain't gonna happen, folks.
There is also the bit of suspense involving Jennifer Aniston's character's paternity....she's not sure who her real father is, yet she is still attracted to Kevin Costner, who may be her father...ick.

i watched this movie the other day and it was the best movie ever so funny and cute i loved it the cast was amazing and made the movie very entertaining for me and jennifer aniston is always fun to watch no matter what she is in she is in some great movies and this one has to be my favorite i love it alot the whole movie was so awesome and great sound and features and the picture was perfect clear as the sky i would recommend people watching this movie you wont regret it its the best movie out there i can tell you that :) this is a great family movie i was laughing most of the movie especially with shirley mcclaines character she was so awesome they all were i have never laughed at a movie like that for a long time

If you looking for personal affairs, family relations & a little romance, then this is a film I highly recommend ... Rumor goes that a guy in Pasedena 30 years ago slept with both mother & daughter one week before her wedding ... Now, Jennifer Aniston is the grand-daughter, afraid from marriage & commitment, wants to find out how her mother felt before getting married ... she searches her mother's love, Mr rich playboy Kevin Costner, who sleeps with the grand-daughter as well !!! He tells her that she must follow her heart and choose whether to live life as an adventure or just settle down & have a family ... Jennifer's acting is supreme, the best of her movies yet ... Kevin Costner is still as handsome as a 30 year old and Mark Ruffalo's choice as the desperate lover is marvellous ... Great film with a touch of romance & family feelings ...

Pros: Makes you laugh and cry
Cons: Nothing bad
I was not expecting this movie to be as good as it was. If you are in a relationship and you feel doubts... this is your movie. I will make you laugh, you will get mad, and you will cry (if you have feelings). SEE IT, SEE IT, SEE IT...I hated "The Graduate" but loved this.
