hot damn!
very good cd! i was skeptical in getting this. when i did, it was amazing to listen to. this should get five mics indeed.

Hydroponic Sound System has put together a slamming CD with Routine Insanity. This disk has got it all - grooving raw beats, off the wall soundbites, spacy ambiences and hot jazzy blowing. I like the flow of the tunes from one into the next. Seems like they're approaching this disk as one long musical piece, with all types of moods to carry you along. Can't believe they've even featured a theremin on one of their songs. Very smooth! The MCs from Skwod X and the Burn Unit smoke in their spotlights, but the instrumentals like "Spillin' Out Me Pamplemousse" shine just as hard. Just read a really nice review in November's CMJ about this CD and I think the reviewer's right on. It's an up and comer. You gotta check out Routine Insanity.

This disc is deep. Every time I listen, I hear something new, something even more interesting than the last time I listened. It appeals on many levels, musically--in addition to offering kickass grooves throughout.

A totally cool trip down hip hop/break beat/acid jazz lane. You won't be disappointed. No lame candy pop here.

A very progressive record with kickin' beats and grooves! Covers a lot of ground and always has you looking forward to what's next. I would say this is one to buy!
