Cons: long dream passages
This is a story of an abused woman who leaves her monster of a husband by changing her identity and relocating. She is in constant fear that she will be discovered by her husband and killed by him.
Great story. She holds on to hope and can find good in life in the face of adversity. Admirable, strong, and respect-worthy main character. The abusive husband is more real and more scary than any demon invention.
Worth a read. 5/10 ...

Pros: well written characters
Cons: a little too long
This book was great. It is about a severely abused woman, Rose, who flees her cop husband and sets up a new life in another city. She gets a job, an apartment, a boyfriend, and a painting. Weird and wonderful things start happening whenever Rose looks at the painting. Her husband, a detective, tracks her down and the ending is all Stephen King. The only complaint I had about this book was that it was a little too long and drawn out in parts, but a great read. ...
