The movie was a good drama/somewhat action film. The best part was Jet Li and Aaliyah fighting together. Good romance. If you want to see awesome Jet Li movies, watch "Last hero in China", or any Fei-Wong Chinese Hero movies. These movies would make your jaw drop.

Jet Li's second teaming with "The Matrix" producer Joel Silver has turned out to be a huge box office success, and an all round excellent, revved up martial arts extravaganza! Loosely based on the famous Shakespeare epic, Jet Li plays Han Sing, a Hong Kong cop travelling back to America to find out who murdered his little brother. He meets Trish O'Day (Aaliyah) with whom he shares an attraction with, and soon realises what a dangerous situation they are in. As always, Jet Li fights his way through every bad guy with spectacular results and never ever fails to show the world that he is the best martial artist alive. Anthony Anderson tends to steal every scene with a very hilarious performance and does get beaten up by Jet more than once. The fight choreography is very similar to The Matrix, but is done in a more imaginative way. Be on the lookout for the final fight as it is the prize of the movie. Well done to Jet on another timeless classic.

the same creative team behind The Matrix desides to let JET show some kick ass Gravity-Wraping Martial arts,use some Nasty cars,and get in alot of trouble that involves "not so small weapons".teaming up with AALIyAh

Got film, good idea, damn shame they didn't use Jet to his full capabilities. The story line went well until it started to deal out the dodgy twists that ruined it sort of. they should have stuck with the revenge motive and let Jet kick lots of butt...

It's a good movie to rent. The fight scenes looked rushed and not very impressive. I was not impressed with Jet Li at all. Cute, but not memorable.

Personally I thought the movie was good, especially the final fight scene. The use of the x-ray was a nice touch that I have never seen before.The plot was decent but not quite thick enough for me. Jet Li improves with every movie that he makes and I can't wait to see what's next.

my boyfriend and i viewed this movie together, wondering exactly how this movie presented a relationship between aaliyah and jet li. i was quite disappointed. it was as if the subject matter was one which you had to tap dance around. i am a black woman and my boyfriend is chinese. 100% mandarin chinese. and we show public displays of affection just as other couples. when people see us together there is no room for assumption... we are together! this movie did not allow such a relationship to transpire. maybe it's that jet li doesn't show intimancy in movies... if that were the case then why use him as the actor in the movie. there are other attractive asian men in america. i just feel that the relationship between aaliyah and jet li left too much unsaid... and incomplete. on the other hand, my boyfriend liked the movie and thinks i am being too picky. of course he expressed his opinion while kissing me. which, by the way, aaliyah and jet li did not do. not even one kiss. well, there you have it- my two cents. i hope my voice has been heard.

is one of the kind type of action movies I have seen and I don't even like action movies.......... I don't even like movies but I must say I really did enjoy this film I loved the acting loved the people and the setting I just loved it and this is the only good review I have wrot sense 1984.BOTTOM LINE GET IT FOR ME FOR X_MASS.

Jet Li is superb in this fast paced action film. The best fight scenes you'll ever see. I will say even better than Bruce Lee's Enter the dragon and Chinesse connection. Aaliya is very fine in this movie.

This is one of the best movies to come out in a while. Done by the people who made the matrix, this particualar movie has an outstanding cast list as well as soem fine special effects.
