The game Rollerball is a violent game where players skate and get towed by motorcycles around a circular wooden track. A solid metallic ball is fired around the track where it gets picked up and players attempt to score goals. The rules are designed so that a player should be injured or possibly killed before they acquire reputations and support from the general public. This hopefully illustrates to the public the futility of violence.
By skill and fate, one player "Jonathan E" becomes too successful at the game and is asked to quit by the authorities before he becomes a large public figure.
This film was made in 1975 and contains a powerful story with excellent action sequences and stunts. ...
