STILL ON THE EDGE
STALLONE IS GREAT,THE CAST IS GOOD.BUT,TOMMY GUNN COULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY A MORE GET DOWN DIRTY STREET FIGHTER.HE LOOKED TOO CLEAN. ROCKY STILL HAD U AT THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT. YOU COULD FEEL THE IMPACT,THE MOODS AND YOUR READY TO CHEER.

I think rocky V was the dumbest of all the rockys, but it was still really good. A should-see movie.

After losing Mickey in III and Apollo In IV, Rocky only has his family left. They are forced to move back to their old neibourghood in Philidalphia as Paulie loses of the money which Rocky had earnt boxing. Rocky trains a local bum "Tommy Gunn" who works his way to the top under Rocky and then ditches him for the rich class and goes under the influence of "George Washington Duke", an unscrooptulous promoter.
Many people see this as an unnecessary addition to the Rocky series, but I still rate it as top class.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoA different film...
Although we are used to seeing the Itallian Stallion spark out contenders from across the world, this film takes Rocky and co back to his roots after an illustrious career. This was more of an emotional film, where Rocky battles for the understanding of his son.

I expected Rocky to go out in style, but i found this film was not like him, it was focussed on that fag Tommy Gunn! And usually Rocky would do his talking in the ring, not the street. A dissapointing end to a fantastic sequel of films. Rocky 5 does'nt matter. Stallone has already left his mark in the previus 4 Rockys.

Good story and all but they could have at least gotten reall actors to play the parts.IF you take tommy morrison,rockys kid and george washington duke out, it would be a really awsome movie

Fifth of the series. The best one. Rocky (Sly) is crippled from getting hit all his life. He trains Tommy Gunn (Tommy Morrison) in his footsteps, just to feel himself get stabbed in the back by him and fight him. Because of the damage he has and the fact that the fight is a street fight makes this movie the best out of all the Rocky movies in the series.
